1) How do you usually celebrate the new year?
In most cases, I tend to celebrate the new year by going out for dinner with my family. It’s really relaxing to spend the night with your intimate beloved ones. But sometimes, I would hang out with my best friends or go to an open-air event like fireworks show with them.

Yes, I do believe the new year celebration is of great importance to me. When I celebrate the new year, I vividly feel that a new beginning comes. And I can set new goals, make resolutions to improve myself, and spend the precious time with my loved ones.
3) Can you briefly describe your most unforgettable experience about the celebration of the new year?
Well, I was living in London in 2018 and I held a small New Year party with three friends in my small flat. My friends and I were good at cooking, so we spent hours in the kitchen, making an extravagant feast for us. Since it was the first time that I had celebrated the new year in an exotic country, those memories are still fresh until now.

Yes, of course there are many rituals and customs to celebrate Chinese new year. For one, most Chinese families would carry out a thorough winter-cleaning of their houses to sweep away the dust and bid farewell to the old year. Besides, offering sacrifices to ancestors is an important part of new year celebration, which shows respect and piety.
