It is important for people to take risks, both in their professional lives and their personal lives. Do you think the advantages of taking risks outweigh the disadvantages?Using your own experience and knowledge, include reasons and examples.

一、思路解析

首先，这是一道优缺点类题目，需要讨论的是无论是在职业生涯还是在个人生活中，冒险的优缺点。这是典型的双边型题目，需要注意的是无论同学们是站优点>缺点，还是缺点>优点，我们都是要在主体段分别陈述优缺点有什么，大于还是小于只是我们的立场倾向。当然如果同学们觉得优缺点差不多，没有倾向性，也可以用both...and...，on the one hand...on the other hand...来表达这个观点优缺点都有一些，没有倾向性。

总之，优缺点是都要陈述的，只不过立场不同，我们写优缺点的语气和占比会有差异，没有倾向性就是5：5，假如倾向优点多就可以6：4或7：3，然后表达优点的时候就要使用比较坚定的态度或词汇(should, be supposed to, ought to等), 而在表达缺点的时候，语气适当可以放弱(may, might)或者给出一些可行的建议来弱化它的缺点，反之亦然。

下面我们分别探讨下关于冒险的优缺点：

Advantages：
冒险虽然可能会承担较大的失败后果，但是一旦成功，在工作方面会带给人们巨大的成就或丰厚的利益，在生活方面会带给人们非凡的体验和快乐。人生按部就班，凡事三思而后行，规避各种风险，自然也是没有问题，但是可能就会错失一些可以改变人生的转瞬即逝的良机，比如企业投资，因为怕承担风险而拒绝投资某产业，但是后面在其它企业投资后，却获得巨额收益，这时没有抓住机遇的企业可能需要安稳的努力数十年才能达到这种成就。生活中也是如此，蹦极，跳伞，赛车等都是风险很大的娱乐项目，但是带来的刺激和快感是任何其它活动都无法匹敌的。

Example：
In order to avoid the consequences of taking risks, we need to keep observing until we accumulate sufficient information to make an accurate prediction. Nevertheless, it may be also during this process of observation, the very chance to take prompt action roars past us. This is why so many business magnates frequently manage to seize and greatly profit from fleeting and seemingly dangerous opportunities. While some may attribute this to their insight and vision, what really motivates those businessmen to grasp opportunities is their awareness of how little they will achieve if they solely rely on previous experiences to address new problems as well as how disappointed they will be if they hesitate and miss their chance.

Disadvantages：
然而有时冒险所带来的失败后果可能是人们无法承受的。冒险成功后带来的好处有多丰厚，失败的后果就会有多么的惨烈。考虑到几十年前亚洲股市投资者的例子。当投资者享受到股票市场带来的好处时，经济似乎是繁荣和冒险的，尽管他们预先被警告市场的波动性。因此，许多投资者采取了比以前更冒险的行动，没有考虑到可能发生的任何后果，这进一步加剧了后来爆发的危机。因此，当经济衰退席卷亚洲国家时，那些忽视了提前行动后果的人遭受的损失最大。

Example：
Considering the example of the investors in Asia stock market several decades ago. The economy seemed to be prosperous and adventurous when investors enjoyed the benefits that stocks market brought, though they were forewarned about the volatile in the market. Consequently, many investors held riskier actions than they used to, without considering any consequence that might occur, which further exacerbate the crisis that outburst later. So when the economic recession was sweeping out the Asian countries, those who ignored the consequence suffered most.
